Slicktrucks

Slicktrucks is a concept for a skate brand that develops premium trucks for skateboards. The brief is to combine a clean, trust-inducing ecommerce-compatible image with established underground design trends in skating: to root the brand as a confident leader that is serious where it matters but stylish to the core.

The brand is an innovator in the space and is keen to ensure that it develops itself as such, maintaining brand equity even as its designs are copied and prices undercut by budget brands. At the same time it is keen to develop its impact as a direct-to-customer brand and provide an experience superior to retailers.

A hand drawn logo was created along with a website that delivers on the promise of a brand that merges a DIY ethos with a clean aesthetic, utilising striking colours and a cut-and-paste style whilst also satisfying the expectations of a competent online store. Additionally, social adverts in both portrait and landscape orientations for new products were created with 3D rendering, motion graphics, and bespoke music production.
